What your family, and most families that emigrated or were brought here went through in their lives can be heart wretching. However, their experiences need to be learned to show what life was really like and the injustices they endured, that are rarely mentioned.
I remember a Poli Sci class I took briefly mentioned the pogroms, but I haven't come across anything that was more in depth. I guess I'll have to do my own research.

Yeah I had no idea about the crap the Russians threw way *before* the holocaust. It's too easy to forget or in my case not dig a little to remember.
