In a sentence. A new cooperative business ecology framework to combat Silicon Valley economics.
TL;DR: A group of businesses, vendors, experts and advocates organized around one market or one hard problem. Together they build ReadyStacks, a hybrid of content and application with three core elements:
1.) The editorial that frames a market problem
2.) The plans and means to solve it, and
3.) Outsized referral incentives for the public to spread the word about the problem and solution. This is the linchpin to disintermediate Silicon Valley from early stage proof of concept and go to market.
Revenue from the district's prescribed tools recirculates back to all residents, creating a cycle of shared prosperity as the ecosystem grows.
The four color theorem got a nice sequel in 2005, when Georges Gonthier checked the whole proof in the Coq proof assistant. That's more or less how AI proofs are getting checked now too, mostly in Lean.
Coq is an older cousin of Lean, a proof assistant from France's INRIA where you write a proof in a formal language and a small kernel checks every step. It was renamed Rocq in March 2025, so that's the name you'll see on newer work.
So that kid … found another example that changed his mind and now he wants a banana themed hole complete with blaring Peanut-butter-jelly-time song and a dancing banana celebration. Sounds awesome right? 🍌🍌🍌
But i wasn’t sure how to pull that off with the basic tech kit we got. But then (tx AI!) i figured out a way to build it with the little computers we have controlling an app running on a Chromebook via serial USB. So this weekend I’ll be building that prototype
10year ago me wouldn’t believe the silly sh*t i get to spend my time on now …
A banana themed hole with Peanut Butter Jelly Time blaring and a dancing banana celebration is the kind of serious technological progress I can get behind. 😂
I'm curious what the kids could do as a team in a Market District.
What's a Market District?

You and the kids are lucky to be learning this stuff today...(I wrote this comment before seeing the other "lucky" comments. 👍
Met the sophomores yesterday - hoodlums! Might stick to the freshman :/
do what makes YOU happy. It's your retirement.
You are so right! JFran told me the same; I'll give them a chance but I'm not down to teach anyone not interested in learning
You got it!

I learned about lean (at the highest level) writing this but what is coq?

I was talking to a friend about this just yesterday, that expectation to pick a side before you’ve even had the chance to understand something.
If a kid can change his mind just enough to get curious and have some fun with it, surely the adults can manage the same.
Those kids are lucky to have you, Andrew.
Best of luck with the talk, and happy Friday!

Those lucky students to have you as a teacher in this time of AI. Any chance you would take on some older students? Like 70s and 80s. Suzie Eastman
Asking for a friend!? Of course Suzie!
gotta wait for that bridge to open tho...
