I played with NetLogo a bit semi seriously trying to optimise pipe and cable routes in Coal Seam Gas fields. I would not have thought that it was for kids?
Also more recently tried to simulate the actual shape of string vibrations in a violin string. Good stuff.

The ultimate irony is MIT may have had a big part in inventing the thing that proves to be their undoing
I think we all have, honestly. But yeah, MIT maybe a great deal more than most.
